The Program
California Made brings players together each off-season for intentional, individualized training designed to prepare players for the season ahead.
Every player arrives with different strengths, habits, experiences, and areas of opportunity. Our approach is built around understanding those differences and creating development environments that challenge players technically while connecting those skills to practical game application.
Rather than simply accumulating repetitions, players are exposed to changing pressure, space, timing, and decision-making - developing the ability to recognize situations, adapt their skills, and find solutions within the game.
Technical Development
Develop the skating and puck skills necessary to execute with greater efficiency, control, and confidence.
Perception & Decision Making
Challenge players to gather information, recognize pressure and space, and make decisions while executing skills at game-relevant speed.
Practical Application
Connect technical development to varying environments and game situations, allowing players to explore when, where, and why different solutions can be effective.

During the 2026 summer off-season alone, California Made worked with players representing more than 25 hockey programs, creating an environment where players at different stages of their careers could continue refining the details of their game.

More Than a Place to Train.
A product of California hockey, Justin Blaszak founded PCH in 2017 as a way to stay connected to and give back to the hockey community that helped shape his playing and coaching career.
California Made is an extension of that commitment.
Each summer is an opportunity to return home, work with players and families throughout the hockey community, reconnect with players who have trained with Justin for years, and continue creating development opportunities for the next generation.
California will always be where the story began.
